Games Spring Cleaning

Ey Queens loyalists!

We’re currently doing an invetory of our hard drives. Pretty soon, we’ll be deleting some of the games that aren’t being played that often. Also, in this light, we’re pleased to announce that we are going to put in new games. Games that can take advantage of the video card and the power of the machines.

So, do us a favor and tell us what new games, both LAN and online you’d like to see.

The Queens Tatak Promo (formerly called the Passport System). All members are eligible to join.

1. This promo is open to all members of Queens Internet Café
2. Just get your FREE tatak card from the cashier
3. Bring your card every time you visit us.
4. Every use of the P100 6-hour rate is equal to one (1) “tatak”. Card is valid from 2 weeks from the date of the first stamp
5. Complete all 6 “tataks” and get 3 HOURS FREE.
6. Card is non-transferable. You can only have “tataks” if you use it and cannot have validation from another members’ use.
7. Promo is from April 18, 2008 to June 18, 2008 only.
8. All completed and availed cards will be compiled and there will be a raffle.

Moving to a Single Floor

You might all know that Queens has 2 floors, right? One at the 2nd floor of the building (the original Queens) and one at the ground level.

Good news mga suki!

We are now consolidating all computers ON ONE FLOOR! (we’re closing the second floor for good)

Yup, that’s right. Effective immediately, all PCs and units will be on the ground floor. We’ve upgraded the old PCs with more RAM to make them at par with the newer units below. Soon, we’ll be upgrading the video cards and maybe even the monitors.

Pacquiao Wins!

The entire Philippines was at a standstill kanina.

The streets of Metro Manila was like a ghost town as we all watched how Manny Pacquiao narrowly won against Juan Manuel Marquez to claim his new lightweight crown. And he’s the first Asian / Pinoy to win 3 separate weight divisions! Yeah!!

Aircon Finally Fixed

A couple of weeks ago, the darn old split-type aircon at the shop failed.

Apologies to our loyal customers for this. It took a couple of days before we could purchase a new 3 tonner standing aircon. Now, the gang’s complaining that it’s too cold. Hehehe.

At any rate, we are also planning to buy a new printer (a laser one at that)  for our customers’ convenience.

RF DDNM Fixed?

One of the most annoying bugs in RF Online is the DDNM or “Data Did Not Match”. Certain bad players do it to get an unfair advantage. Now that there’s a new server for RF – Xenos, it’s a reunion of sorts for long-time-no-see Queens power gamers!

Glad to see that all you guys are back here.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that some players and even shops have a fix for the DDNM. I think I read it somewhere in the RF boards. I wonder how they do it. The GMs say that it’s illegal and is like trying to “hack into the client”. Our question then is: Is it illegal to protect yourself and your friends from cheaters and bug exploiters? Now that’s hard to weigh. The RF GM team have to make a stand on this or get CCR to fix their act – and fast!

A lot of players are losing patience.
